Guest guest
I will try to make this as quick as possible. It is after 1:00 here and I have to be up in 4 hrs. for appt. with neurosurgeon. I had appt. with ENT today for the feeling of choking (like someone is choking me and if it isn't there a feeling of numbness and/or heaviness), the pressure in my nose (feels like someone hit me and it has swollen about 100 times), pressure, pain, and ringing in ears (especially right one), and for the pain on top of my head (feels like pressure to me-sometimes really bad and top of head sore to touch)...kinda like someone used my head for a battering ram. Gist is....He has no clue. Sounds like sinuses to him, but he sees no signs. He only spent about 3 minutes with me though. I have been checked (including cat scans, xrays) atleast 3 times in the last 4 months....no signs. I also have no drainage, etc. I know I am not imagining my symptoms....It has been almost 4 months..these are just some of my symptoms. Here is my question. I know the Chiari can cause these symptoms, but would it be unusual for the ENT doctor to not see any sign for cause? I am sorry to ask so many questions, but our state is really lacking in healthcare. WE have lost many doctors due to 4 main reasons, one of them being the huge fees they have to pay to practice (about $2,000 a day for malpractice insurance) and it looks like we are going to be loosing many many more. So you can understand my lack of trust in the doctors that are left, who we have no choice but to go to. Wish me the best of luck tomorrow with my appt. with the neurosurgeon. I am going armed with a huge book I have made on Chiari, hoping that he will look at atleast some of it. Thanks to everyone who answered my previous post.
