My son Scot went to bed last night with a stuffy nose (the green

snot variety). He woke up this morning and now in addition to the

stuffy nose, his one eye is pink, bloodshot, and looks irritated.

What can be done for this? I do not wish to call my doctor. Thanks!

My son Matt just went through this. His eye kept getting puss in it and a

cough. Then he gave it to my daughter me and my wife. We did not take him

to the doctors but we did take my daughter (20 Months old) it is some kind

of bacteria infection and he put her on antibiotics and she is better now.

my son the same but it took 2 weeks for his to go away. The pussy eyes

lasted about 3-4 days. the cough and stuffy nose about 1/12 weeks.

I'm not seeing any puss in Scot's eye, it's just pink and irritated. I really

don't want to give Scot antibiotics unless it's absolutely necessary...he just

doesn't tolerate it very well. Bu thank you for your suggestion. I will keep an

eye out for pus.

We did not give Matt any antibiotics either just our daughter. Matt is ASD

and we know what it does to their gut so we avoid it at all cost. The Puss

started about 2 days after the eyes got red. First the left eye then the

right eye. In the morning is when it was the worst aftre sleeping all night

it was all dried up on his eyelashes at first we thought he had pink eye

but it didn't get any worse.
