Guest guest
OK, so my unrealistic estimate of a Monday departure was half right, after all - I'm the one that's departing, Maureen isn't ... big surprise to only me, apparantly. She's off the morphine and eating her first real meal since Monday night, as I write this update. Maureen's out of bed, into a chair, and visitors (Andy and Vicki, Richie) started coming. A new pic is attached, Maureen in bed with her new friends and flowers around her. I will return home Monday morning, returning next Saturday to retrieve Maureen and accompany her back to Atlanta Monday afternoon, Sept. 30. With physical therapy beginning today, and a lot of the tubes removed, especially the change in pain meds, Maureen should start moving around and begin adjusting to her next 4 months with halo. I will be leaving my laptop with Maureen and she will have email access in her room, so please send her a " hello " to mbaron@... when you can. Thanks for the supportive calls, mail, prayers, etc. L, PB North Shore University Hospital (NSUH)/Manhasset 300 Community Drive Maureen Baron, Patient Room 4Cohen- 470 Door Manhasset, New York 11030 - Direct line to Maureen's bed/room mbaron@...
