hospital tryd to keep me because my oxygen kept going to low. I think

the hospital actually made me sicker if that makes nay sense. I have

just been realy nervous about the way to lay down withought damaging

anything. More info to come.I just want to thank everyone for all of

their kind words of encouragement. May you truly be blessed for taking

the time to think of someone else. Genita

Genita, I slept on my back with a pillow on my chest. During the day

I would do this in recliner, and it seemed to help with pain and

sleeping. lisamathis

If you had open RNY you should try and get a binder. It will help hold

things in place. One surgeon will not let you leave the hospital

without it. Moving may be a problem so make sure to use a pillow for

any movement and think of renting a recliner with a lift. It may cost

for a month but you will really be healthier/safer. skmo

Lorraine,

I had to have my husband help me up and down out of be for the first whiles.

There are also techniques to help push yourself up. You roll onto your side,

and then put one elbow down onto the bed. Make a fist with that hand. Put

your other hand on the first and push with all your might to help yourself

get up. In this way you're using more muscles in your arms, than in your

tummy.
