Guest guest
Cris dear, you get a GIANT GOLD STAR on your going-to-the-doc report card!! You did an EXCELLENT JOB being your own best advocate with that doc. GOOD FOR YOU! Yes, OPTIMIZE your thyroid first. You might be surprised what will GO AWAY when you do. THEN you treat what is left. And, by the way, you may have to have more Armour than your doc will allow to be optimized. Janie aka , Clapping for you!! > I had an interesting apt. today. The dr. was running about half an hour behind - but spent a lot of time with me. Overall, it went well.
Guest guest
yes - I really was quite pleased. The last time I was there, she had refused to up my dose because my TSH was below normal - even tho my Free's were very low normal. She had acknowledged that they were low normal, but refused to up it. I came armed with my info this time, and determination to get my dose up'd. I figure tho, I'll have to up my own dose after the 150. Still - that will save me some money with having to buy a smaller amt without insurance. I was afraid I was throwing too many things at her for one apt. too. I have this spot on my cheek that I asked her about. I am to call her right away next time it gets weird. Today you can barely see it - but it gets big and sore and bleeds at times. She said - which I almost laughed at - when it gets like that, call and I'll need to be seen by a dermatologist right away. like you can get an apt. with a dermatologist that quickly!! so tomorrow I need to call for apts. for these tests. all but one can be a walk in - but she said if I call for the 1, they can probably schedule me for the others too. We'll see... Guest guest
>>i think anytime our skin is getting less than its normal circulation, there can be problems<< Talk about bad circulation. I woke up this morning after sleeping under flannel sheets and a heavy comforter and wrapped in four cats and touched my thighs. They were like ICE. My peripheral circulation sucks! Yet I don't feel cold. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
yes - and this is what actually killed my father. He had a lot of problems, and alzheimers - heart problems, but he got a spot like this and that was it. I sort of wish now she would have given me a referral to a dermatologist anyway -they would have removed it to look at it. I'll mention it again at my next apt. Thanks for reminding me! Guest guest
yes! I have no doubt that I'll need to do more. The max she said she'd give me is the 2 1/2 grains. and she looked at me and said, now you have to be honest with me when you come back if this doesn't work.... so I know she thinks it won't work. At that point, I'm going to ask her to please just give me one more 1/2 grain to take me to 3 grains. I'll tell her I'm splitting the dose 3/day - which I will be doing. and that I think the full grain at those 3X is better for me. then... I'll start on what's in my freezer. I am thrilled though that I will get this extra with my insurance though - every little bit helps!!
