As the heading says,

I would like t lknow where o ge CORTEF w./o a prescription. I have found a

site for ISOCORT, but I think I would rather try CORTEF.

Do you have a preference between ISOCORT and CORTEF?

I understand that ISOCORT has adrenaline init and that CORTEF does not.

Howevewr, that CORTEF is more expensive.

Any input???

I don't believe Isocort contains adrenaline, because the " cort " part stands for

cortex, and adrenaline is made in the adrenal medulla, not the cortex (I

believe). I don't have a bottle around anymore to check, though.

Remember that, for no reason I know of, some people do better on Cortef than on

Isocort (me, for example), and that it doesn't seem to be related to the amount

of cortisol, because Isocort is actually pretty strong.

Those who want to try cortef should read Bev's excellent thyroid page at

http://users.bestweb.net/~om/thyroid/, and should also read the many files in

NaturalThyroidHormones under Adrenal Information for instructions. It's pretty

safe at the doses we need, but there are a few rules that should be followed.
