I have people at work tell me all the time they notice a difference inmy

attitude. But it's a positive thing. They say they can see I'm a lot

more confident. Not nearly as shy. :-) No one has ever said anything

negative about the change tho.

I definitely understand where you are coming from there. I have gotten

positive comments and that is definitely a good thing.

I got really irritated with my mom at Thanksgiving because she said that it

looked like I was gaining weight and really was not and when I went back to

the doctor last week and was weighed, then she started bragging on me, so go

figure.

Some people can't handle when we get thin. I guess we are supposed

to stay the " fat friend " forever. Without food to stuff down my

emotions, I too find that I am more confident and stand up for

myself. People have a hard time with change...

I am finding that it is an emotional adjustment for everyone. People get used to

you being one way and now that you are changing, they have a tuff time with it.

I get lots of support from all my family and friends, however, some of my family

when I go back to see them next year is not going to know how to react. I am a

different person then I left, better, more confident, loving of myself, etc...

but it will be interesting to see how they react. I have kept them in mind

during this process and try to keep them as much informed as possible, but you

just have to be who you want to be and do what you want to do, all will work out

for the best.
