God help us ALL! Thx, Geez, , my heart aches with the past pain and knowing what you are going through. Your daughter absolutely needs to be taken and evaluated. The frustrations I had with mine were that she was taken to the ER 7 times, placed each time, and released after only 6 days, as insurance wouldn't cover any more time than that. Very frustrating. The other part that's completely hipocritical is that at age 17, you are legally responsible for her actions, yet and in patient facility is voluntary! So go figure, she can asked to be release on her own. Sad system we live with. I wish you luck. With my daughter, I just made her get in the car and drove her to help. The alternative I gave her was that she could go find somewhere else to live. That I could no longer tolerate her behaviors. DebbieL
Guest guest
, I know people said that befrore and many times but it cannot be repeated often enough; please, please, take care of yourself first. If you hurt, you need to seek healing. Remember that addage about the oxygen mask on an airplane? You put it on first, then help the child. What is your oxygen mask? Let us know. We are all with you.
