Guest guest
Hi everyone: Just a quick question... I have my initial MRI results and I'm curious...I don't know what they mean or how serious this is...Can some explain some of this to me? Findings: The cerebellar tonsils extend to almost 1cm below the foramen magnum to the level of the posterior arch of C1. THere is apparent crowding at the foramen magnum with suggestion of " slight pegging. " No syrinx visualized in the brainstem or upper cervical cord to the C2-3 level. Ventricular size is within normal limits. Visualized blow voids are grossly patent. The vetebral and basilar arteries may be both slightly diminutive, with associated prominent bilateral posterior communicating arteries. Prominent hyperintenst T2 signal opacification of the left mastoid air cells and mild partial opacification right mastoid air cells. Impression: Arnold Chiari I Malformation as above. Left greater than right mastoid opacification which may reflect inflammatory and/or retained fluid. So.... Who speaks " doctor? " I know about the tonsils, but after that, I'm lost.... Thanks for your continued help. Rich
