Guest guest
I can recommend a good probiotic mostly because at first my daughter had die off from it and then after I am fairly certain it has helped. Probiotics are tough, kind of hard to measure. But another mom said the same thing, and that is how I got turned onto it and she will swear by this one. But kind of pricey, 60 pills for $51. I'm thinking it might be used more for extreme cases/times and when I feel her stabilize more use something more generic/cheaper. And a side benefit, one night when I had drank some wine, almost as a fluke I took a couple of them to see if it would help my stomach because when ever I drink I get horrible stomach hangover's. (Yes, working on some issues...) But it was incredible, I woke up with no problem at all in the morning. It's by Klaire, it's: Ther-Biotic Detoxification Support But we suffer from constipation, and probiotics didn't do the trick, as did many of the other suggestions. For us, magnesium was the silver bullet. I give her: Nature's Life, comes in mag. from oxide, citrate, malate 500 mg. a day and she is now " normal " for the first time in her whole 8 years of life. (Need to note that not all magnesium's are the same-so might need to do research on it a bit but for us this works.) Of course Dana's site does a great job at listing out a whole bunch of constipation ideas. Until we are able to further determine the internal root to each case, it seems we all need to trouble shoot a bit to find the fix per child. Ironically, (or then again maybe not...), magnesium was the only thing that worked for my 3 yr old when last year he started up with the same problem. Funny part was I tried everything else first! Guess I didn't think of the magnesium because he can't swallow. But then it in a little chocolate and we're set with him now too. Guest guest
I've heard good things about Primal Defense. I used the caplets for about 2 months with good results for constipation. I take an antidepressant which can constipate. I moved recently and fell off of the dosage routine. Guess what happened??? So, I think they do work for me. Garden of Life is the company name. You can get it in powder form, also. I found mine at our local Co-op. Good luck to you! Are you also making the dietary changes to stop feeding the yeast?
