Guest guest
If you can get your insurance to pay for it, it will be the best present that you can give yourself. It has been life changing for me and I have not felt this good in over ten years and still have more weight to go. Lin 422-338-250 Lhsh@... American by birth, Saved by the grace of God. I am a newbie, looking at having the surgery and needing info Hello I am Bethany I am at present 4'11 " and 255 lbs. My general surgeon, who I saw to get my reflux undercontrol, said that I should have my stomach removed and that that would count as GASTRIC BYPASS. Part of my stomach is not digesting or emptying the right way. I have struggled with my weight since I was 8, now 32. I live in Olympia, WA. I am weighing the pros and cons of the surgery. I know at least two people who have had it and they say to go for it. I have to get my primary doctor to petition DSHS to pay for my surgery. My insurance will not, but I have medical coupons and that is done through DSHS. I live by myself, so I cook for myself. A couple of Questions: How long is the recovery? Would anyone, in hindsight, wish they had not had it done? What about food allergies, as in do they interfere with the proper menu. I have allergies to artificial sweetners, all of them. Any suggestions. Bethany nttr_b fuzzybpebble@... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Bethany I am in the same situation as you are. I'm not exactly allergic to some of the foods but I can't have them because of my bladder condition, if I do it causes me great pain for 3 to 4 days, and no sleep that whole time. Can you have splenda as a surgar? Or is that one out too. I've accepted the fact I may be a broth person for a while, until I can get to the mushy stage. But I do figure if I can survive it, I'll probably lose a lot of weight during that time. My surgery is Jan 10th, nervous, and can't wait all at the same time. 216/216/235 Holt, Florida
