Guest guest
I got CitraCal chewables at my local Good Neighbor pharmacy. If your pharmacy doesn't carry them, as the pharmacist to order them. I got the sublingual B12 (dots) at Wal Mart. The ug is micrograms. My doctor says to take 2 multivitamin chewables with 18mg of iron daily. Don't take them within 2 hours of the calcium. The CitraCal chewables have 4g of sugar in each one, but my dietician says that should be okay. I also take one Cod Liver Oil pill each day. I hope this info helps. --- sarrah345 sarrah345@...> wrote: > Hi all, > > Well, I'm online and trying to get the required > vitamins and minerals > and protein powder that my dietician told me to buy. > But I need your > help! > > I've been to four web sites (bariatriceating.com, > vitaminworld.com, > puritantv.com, and GNC) so far, and I'm having > trouble locating > exactly what I need. Guest guest
Holy crap! I take: Meijer Calcium Citrate I got but one get one free (they're that way this week too) with 630mg of calcium and 400IUs of D3 in them. I take two tablets twice a day. I'm not sure how much I get these for as they come in various sized bottles. I usually buy massive amounts of them because they expire in about 2-3 years and I am taking four a day so why not stock up? I'll probably be buying these when I run out in 6-8 months http://tinyurl.com/y55x6j I take a Kirkland Multivitamin twice a day too. These are 500 tablets for about $12. http://tinyurl.com/yx9hbu Each Tablet Contains - % Daily Value: Vitamin A 5000 IU (25% as Beta Carotene) - 100% Vitamin C 120 mg - 200%, Vitamin D 400 IU - 100% Vitamin E 60 IU - 200%, Vitamin K 25 mcg - 31% Thiamin (Vit B1) 1.5 mg - 100% Riboflavin (Vit B2) 1.7 mg - 100% Niacin 20 mg - 100% Vitamin B6 2 mg - 100% Folate (folic acid) 400 mcg - 100% Vitamin B12 6 mcg - 100% Biotin 30 mcg - 10% Pantothenic Acid 10 mg - 100% Calcium 162 mg - 16% Iron 18 mg - 100% Phosphorus 109 mg - 10% Iodine 150 mcg - 100% Magnesium 100 mg - 25% Zinc 22.5 mg - 150% Selenium 45 mcg - 64% Copper 3 mg - 150% Manganese 2.5 mg - 125% Chromium 120 mcg - 100% Molybdenum 75 mcg - 100% Chloride 72 mg - 2% Potassium 80 mg - 2% Silicon 2 mg - * Boron 150 mcg - * Tin 11 mcg - * Vanadium 10 mcg - * Nickel 5 mcg - * Lutein 275 mcg - * *Daily Value not established. From what I've read ug and mcg are the same, both mean microgram. Are you sure you need 50mg of B6? That's 2500% of the RDA according to the Costco amounts. That seems a bit much. I was taking two children's chewable vitamins for the first four weeks after surgery and then started taking some expensive prenatals. At three months I replaced those with the Kirklands above and was told to start Calcium too. My blood work has been perfect. I lost no hair and have had no ill side effects other than a spell of constipation once in the last year. All of those recommendations and substitutions were from MMPC too Cathy. I asked if I could use something other than their prescribed prenatal and they said any over the counter pre natal would due. Well they're ALL different. So I tried to find something that matched the current one well since my blood work was so good. I found the Costco ones were very close. Taking two puts me over slightly on everything that was in the prental I was taking except iron which is only a bit less.
