Guest guest
Dr. Springer's web site is http://www.drspringer.medem.com/ On her site she is asking all patients who can to attend the courthouse to support her. Kansas City Office See map 7325 West 161st Street 100 Overland Park , Kansas 66085 (FAX) Dr. Gant of New York had similar charges--no physical etc and using labs not sanctioned by the AMA. He got his license suspended for 6 months. During this time he wrote an excellent book on ending addictions with supplements. Unfortunately I don't have a testimony to share yet and maybe she might appreciate some testimonies from people on this list. However, the thyroid prescription is not her only charge. I cannot believe that natural thyroid hormone is not standard of care!!!!! The pharmaceutical cartel certainly has the power at the moment. Unless we all support the Alliance for Natural Health with financial donations, we won't be able to get those supplements we all take except by prescription. You know how hard it is to get Armour prescriptions so you can understand how hard it will be to get certain supplements. The cost will be beyond many of our means. visit http://www.alliance-natural-health.org/ Please donate whatever you can. Some of the very doctors we need and use are supporting this cause. You can also visit www.iahf.com for more information. Kallie Re: Re: Jackie Springer lost license I know I am not that far from that area, I am going to find out who her attorney is and write to them. I will offer a complete history of my trials with Synthroid and how it totally failed me and Armour has literally saved my life. I will even offer to testify to this in person as I could get to her trial if it is in an area I can get to.
Guest guest
Will we end up like Dr. enstein, going out in the night to get the body parts we need? Tish In my opinion we will if the CODEX goes through. Donate today please. Kallie
Guest guest
The new trial date is March 7 in Topeka Ks. The clerk in the court room told me that I needed to call before I come the next time as that might not be a go either. Wondering what the $*!! that comment meant. I would love to hear how many of you have been to docs who didn't do physicals. I am pretty sure that I remembering hearing and or reading that insurance companies and other medical people stated that they don't believe physicals are really needed anymore. My lasted 3 or 4 docs have only done blood pressure, pulse rate, listened to my heart and my lungs. So how come they are still practicing. They don't spend even 5 minutes in the room with you. Is that a good standard of care? Re: Re: Jackie Springer lost license I know I am not that far from that area, I am going to find out who her attorney is and write to them. Guest guest
You can go to Jackie Springers home page. http://www.drspringer.medem.com/ On the right hand side of the page is a box that says patient sign in. You will need to click on the little box that says new patient. Once you fill that info out you can e-mail Dr Springer herself. She might be willing to give you the name of her lawyer or any other info she feels would be helpful. She has suspended all charges for using the e-mail until after the trial is over and she hopefully gets her license back. Once again, where is Forrest Pharm. in all this? Are there any lawyers among us? Hubbies that are lawyers? There must be OSMETHING we can do to help this doctor. Guest guest
In the past 10 years, due to my physicians leaving their practice I have been to five " new " physicians. None of them including my " special " orthomolecular physician has done a physical other than listen to my heart, look in my ears and take my blood pressure. I am 66 at the present time. I live in Canada. I guess that explains why my 79-year old mother's ovarian cancer was not found until she saw the big bump in her stomach!!! I never thought of this before. I'll bet no doctor ever felt her abdomen. Her tumor was the size of a football. Guest guest
I went into the doc this last Tues. to see about getting referred to a plastic surgeon for a breast reduction. He never touched me, just order the tests he thought would tell if I was healthy enough to undergo the surgery. And he said he very seldom took blood pressures because of white coat syndrome. *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** The new trial date is March 7 in Topeka Ks. Guest guest
I can't stop thinking about this either, Cindi. My husband says I'm overreacting, but it scares me to death that these people can have such control over our lives. Actually, I guess it might literally scare me " to death " if they are able to force drs to perscribe synthroid -- because I really wouldn't have any life left. Guest guest
You are not overreacting in my opinion Debbie. Already in Australia and Europe many supplements have been taken off the shelf due to this CODEX thing. I have a friend in Australia and it amazes me the number of supplements I can get freely that he can't even have shipped to him. They only have control if we let them have it and keep it. That is why I fight. My fear has me donating what I can to the ANH lawsuit because from my research and knowledge, that is our last opportunity. If one trusts the FDA and the status quo, you will not want to oppose CODEX cause you will believe they only have your interests at heart!!! Please visit www.iahf.com He is a bit of a renegade, which is needed and he is honest, integrous, and has fought valiantly for us against the CODEX. Also visit http://www.alliance-natural-health.org/ and consider donating. This might be the most important site as their law suit is our last chance of stopping the CODEX. Sadly it is those of us who are really in the total complementary area who realize the seriousness of this. Here is a good Canadian organization against the CODEX www.friendsoffreedom.org Some of the well-known and respected physicians in the complementary medicine who are fighting the " CODEX " are: Dr. , www.tahoma-clinic.com Dr. Mercola www.mercola.com Dr. Saul, www.doctoryourself.com Dr. Matthias Roth http://www.drrathvitamins.com/mission/fr_dshea.html Dr. Carolyn Dean, http://www.carolyndean.com/ All of these physicians would prescribe Armour. Dr. Mercola even writes about it on his site. We are so fortunate to be able to get our natural thyroid hormone without our doctors and I pray that the pharmacies providing them to us flourish and remain in business. Guest guest
They cancelled the hearing because of the weather. We got a wee bit of snow. Not even a half and inch. I thought maybe Wichita had gotten some ice and that is where the Endro testifying against is from. The next day we were in the local Cracker Barrel here and were tlaking to a waitress. She was in Wichita the day before and said the weather was fine. I think that area of Kansas is a bit different. If they say snow they all close down and flee home. LOL I had a doctor who treated my with Armour a few years ago that lived in St s KS. I had to drive almost 2 hours to get there and we would leave the Kansas City area and get out there to find the office closed because there was a Tornado watch out. Not warning but just a watch and in the winter if they said ice or sleet they closed that day too. The clerk in the Judge's office said it was rescheduled for March 7th but to call before driving out as it might now be a go then either. Wish it could get resolved. I have a couple more 3 month prescriptions on my meds but I am out of testosterone. So far I have been able to get my refills okay but it is getting stressful. I need to find another doc just in case but I really would like to see Dr Springer back in business. Guest guest
I bet none of you could tell by my spelling how tired I am. LOL We were planning on selling our house next spring maybe. We were actually thinking we would be in there till spring of 06. Then a friend of ours was hoping to buy our house so off we went looking for just the right ranch style house here in Olathe (Kansas City Suburb). Well we came across a nice ranch with a finished basement that can be rented out as a two bedroom apt. It was a good lot, great price with a true basement under it so we jumped on it. Hard to find ranch style houses in this area and for a decent price. So anyways here we sit moved into our nice ranch house but day after day we go back to the old house to paint, clean, patch and touch up some areas here and there. That house is a tri-plex with a basement. We have gotten everything but some baby stuff out of on upstairs closet on the three main floors. It is finally patched, painted and cleaned on those three floors. Now we are in the basement where my son put in a bath with a spa tub ( I shall miss that tub) a hallway and a 4th bedroom. That is the area that needed the most. We had just built the bathroom and the hallway this past spring and it still was partially unfinshed. Tomorrow we will have friends help us paint. DH and one of our sons will hang a suspended ceiling in the bedroom and hall and then we should be basically finished. We still need to remove stuff from the basement and garage but we are very close to the end of the tunnel. Maybe then when I write it will be more fluent. No promises mind you. Guest guest
I read about it in the forums. http://forums.about.com/ab-thyroid/messages/?msg=65261.1 I don't know if this link will take you right to the discussion or not. If you go to the forums, it's discussion # 65261. One of the ladies there did contact Forrest to let them know. This is what she reported: " This morning I spoke directly to the Forest rep. Forest apparently receives emails from patients several times per year relating to this issue of medical board reviews disparaging Armour, or indicating that it is not the appropriate medication for treatment of thyroid disease. The rep sent my email upline to supervisors so that they will be aware of this particular instance in Kansas. The bottom line after a lengthy discussion? Forest does not have a budget to pursue this matter for a product that is well regarded by patients and certain doctors, but does not pull in much in the way of income. " So what can we do about this, when Forest won't even defend their product and fight for it?! Still feeling pretty discouraged. Guest guest
you lobby " respected " Dr's that prescribe it. By respected, (said very tongue in cheek) I mean endos that are not considered " fringe " You also as bad as this sounds, don't quote chiros, ND's even general practice MD's and their opinion, etc. There are many endos and internists that more and more are switching since seeing how well Armour works. You need to have the witch hunt groups peers give the positive results! That is where I would start for an effective campaign. Guest guest
This is the most ominous line I've read. Who is going to fight harder?
