Guest guest
Hello all. I am considering adding some DHEA to further support my adrenals. My doctor suggested prognenolone as well. From experiences of other people, i got that sometimes when DHEA/prognenolone is added, this combination could allow the person to be able to tolerate thyroid medication (i think because adrenals are further supported). Anybody on this forum takes DHEA and/or prognenolone to support the adrenals? How does it affect your ability to tolerate thyroid meds? Please share your experiences. I am on 17.5 mg of Cortef daily and am able to tolerate only 10 mcg of T3, can not tolerate Armour/T4 at all. Dr.Hertoghe in the book " the hormone solution " on p.263 also says that " most people should take DHEA together with cortisol because it helps keep the activity of the cortisol in balance " . Thanks, ALex
