Do not add pregnenolone or any adrenal extract to cortef or

prednisolone. It is to easy to end up getting to much cortisol.

Either you need more cortef, which I would try first, or cortef is

not stong enough and you need to be switched to prednisone (I

recommend methylprednisolone much better for the liver). When I

started I was put on 30 mg of cortef and it didn't do a thing for me.

Adding DHEA can low cortisol levels so don't take more than 10 mg.

If your DHEA is at the high end of the range then don't take.

If you aren't satisfied with your doc, seek out an osteopath, this

site may help you find one.

under specialty enter endocrinology and also enter family practise.

Type of practice enter office-based patient care.

Take care,

Chris

I take prognenolone and I will say that at first I thought it did nothing

but, I forgot to get it filled for a week and a half and kept feeling this

lingery fatigue. After I added it back, the fatigue went away. I also take

Cortef and I was having crashes without the prognenolone. The doctor told

me the prognenolone has a longer life than the Cortef and I can agree now :)

I don't agree as I take both and I am not getting too much cortisol (at

least my tests say that). The prognenolone helps your energy as Cortef

doesn't last as long in your system. Maybe others can comment...
