Guest guest
We have not gotten the cherry lemonade, but the strawberry is awesome and so is the mango=kiwi. Personally I am addicted to the regular lemonade as well. Lin Lhsh@... American by birth, Saved by the grace of God. Re: mike in gr The HEB Brand was Fruit Refereshers by Cott Beverages. Cott told me they bottle the Aldi's but it's under Aldi's name. That " brand " is called Fit & Active. I'm concerned they might not have the Cherry Limaide but the Cranberry is pretty awesome. Guest guest
Splenda. Kmart allegedly has it too. I may check that this weekend. I'll report back. I may drive to all Kmarts (hmm, I think there's only one left in GR, how sad) and Aldi's and just buy the heck out of the whole operation. At $.59 a liter, the great taste, the low sodium, I have no reason not to stock up. I'll have to watch the expirarion date except that between me and my daughter we'll probably kill 3-4 a day during the week. Target, while they had the stuff, only had 1/2 liters in 4 packs for something like $2.15. That's NOT a good price. In fact it really sucks. They did have a carbonated version for about the same price with a blackberry/raspberry flavor that is pretty good (I got a couple). I'm cheap so the $.10 Michigan Deposit on carbonated bottles bothers me. I mean it's not like I'm going to hold on to these damned empties and drag them back to Target since I only shop there maybe once every couple months. Plus I can't drink the carbonated stuff as fast and it just isn't as pleasurable as the other flavors and flat stuff. It does have the same sodium and Zero of everything else though. It's sort of nice for a breakup of things too I guess. My daughter likes it and I'd like to give her alternatives to the 1/2 liter of diet coke she hits a day. I let her though so whose at fault there? Guest guest
I didn't even know they still had Kmarts. The one near me is now " Sears Essentials " . I know that price at Target isn't great, but I'll pay 50c per bottle for a change. That's what I end up paying for the Aquafina at Meijer most times. in MI > > > > > > > > about my questioning on amounts of fluid n drinking. saw my > surgeon > > > > today n out of curosity i asked the nurse the question, she > > > explained > > > > to me at my point certainly not. but there are people later on > after > > > > surgury who can drink there larger amounts of fluids faster n > more of > > > > it.. she did laugh n say she can t drink that much n she never > had > > > > surgury..i guess what i am being taught is the steps i am on > now.. > > > > makes sense to me.. i ll be glad when i can get more in,, yes > at this > > > > point she said it will or could hurt my tummy.. because after > surgury > > > > it is held together by staples so sipping is best for my > stage.. > > > later > > > > i might be able to drink faster.. after i am totally healed.. > keep up > > > > your good success c ya donna > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Good points. That Aquafina has fallen from favor from me because I can get the Lipton Diet Green Tea fo $9.56 a case (24) at Costco, I like the taste better and it has the same sodium. I can appreciate the variety idea add to it that there is 1/3 the sodium than the Aquafina and Tea and you've got even more reason to get it. With the weather turning to crap tonight I'd better think about when I'm going to hit the Aldis (3) and Kmarts (2) in the area. Guest guest
I will have to get my wife to look for the cherry lemonade and if they have it, I will get her to buy me a couple of bottles to try it and see if I like it like I like the strawberry lemonade and the regular lemonade. Guest guest
I haven't gone to Target to look for those yet. The last time I was there, I bought a 4 pack of some other brand that came in unique flavors. I bought lemon-raspberry and apple. They were $2 for 4 but they were good. in MI > > > > ============= > > Oh I did find the cherished 1 liter bottles of calorie free fruity > > beverages at Aldi's yesterday. Guest guest
Mike, I was thinking about this on my walk yesturday.......I think I stated the numbers wrong from my doctor. I dont think it was as high as 90% to 10%...........But rather I remember it was 75% to 25%......That sounds a bit more like it.... Yeah 20 carbs does seam a little low.....Im not really cutting them all out, I just try to eat foods rich in protein first.....for instance I bought some chicken franks, I eat one of those, it has carbs, and fat and all the stuff we need and like 10g of protein also....... I was talking to Shauna yesturday and she brought up a good point, when I put a whole banana in my protein shake and drank it, it made me feel sick.......she made a good point, the shake is already kind of thick from the powder, and adding a banana makes it even more thick, thus this might be what made me feel so sick, just to much at one time in my pouch......dont know.......Im going to try it again some time with a 1/3 a banana and see how I do... Yesturday I got to 1000 calories.....I got hungry last night and had a hot dog, that tipped me over the 800 mark and got it to the 1k mark....Thanks for the info Mike........stay warm out there! Guest guest
Ah well texture and thickness of things can affect me stil too. Pounding down something that's really thick is a sure way to either get me that too full feeling or make me feel like taking a nap. Stay warm? JOLLY JOKER! It was so cold we had to drive to The WHO concert tonight. The good news is we went down 2.5 hours early to get some dinner and therefore got in before they started to collect for parking and parked for free. Guest guest
Me, too Mike. The first time I realized it was the period that was tripping things up and deleted it. Guest guest
http://mastmd.dynalias.net/drive.wmv Like I said it might hang for a long long time because it's 40MB and needs to transfer off my slow upstream with cable. If I film it again I'll put it on one of those free storage sites that has better speed. Actually I might just do it with this one tomorrow too. Mike in GR > > Me, too Mike. Guest guest
I watched Mikes video by deleting the http:// and adding www. instead and it worked. Guest guest
Right well I could shrink it further. It's pretty large screen wise. Having it smaller wouldn't really detract. Next time I'll try to shrink it to about 15-20MB. I'll also put up a zipped up version so you could connect using dialup and download it over time (a few hours). Guest guest
Nah I'll stick with the fruit punch from the one up here. It'll stain my shirts just as well as the Cherry would. I have lime juice in my fridge I wonder if I could toss it in and some splenda in. Aldi's has the same amount of stuff on sale for $1.75 a container this week. I'm not sure what flavors though.
