American by birth, Saved by the grace of God. Low carb tortilla soft shells I found at the grocery store today low carb tortillas. Not sure how they taste yet; but it looks promising. We like to make pizzas w/ them. Here's the low down: Whole Wheat/Low Carb Calories: 130/80 Fat: 2/4.5 Carbs: 25/9 Protein: 4/5 They do have a tad more fat; but for that much less in carbs it's worth it to me. Guest guest
Just take a flour tortilla and spread some pizza sauce. Add cheese & toppings (veggies, pepperoni, shrimp, chicken, etc...whatever you want.) Pop in the oven until cheese has melted. Quite yummy. Also try one of the south beach diet pizzas from the frozen section at the grocer. They are quite good as well. W 380/254/160 lisamathis76 wrote: > W, I have missed pizza so bad. Guest guest
I have had those in the past when I was on weight watchers (they are 1 pt each). They are good! I was surprised. It is a good substitute. Jackie in CA Woodard alittleisenough@...> wrote: I found at the grocery store today low carb tortillas. Not sure how they taste yet; but it looks promising. Guest guest
I got them at Kroger. Each tortilla is 43g. They have 4g of fiber and 0g sugar. I can usually only eat about 3/4 of one when I make pizzas out of them. And I only make a cheese pizza. Now Tim will down 3 of them and eat what I don't eat of mine. LOL! They are not the burrito sized tortillas. But like the soft taco size. The brand is tamxico. The package has a website listed.... http://www.tamxico.com W 380/254/160 Mike wrote: > How many ounces are these? How many to fill you up? What's the brand? > What store? > > They sound good. Guest guest
Here are links to a couple of brands I've tried. There is nutritional info on the websites. http://www.c-els.com/default.asp?sn=E060420041290085 http://www17.netrition.com/mama_lupes_tortillas_page.html I've seen them both at Meijer in the past but don't know if they have them now. > > > > I found at the grocery store today low carb tortillas. Guest guest
I couldn't tell the difference with the ones I had. Guest guest
I saw the ones by Mission at Kroger as well. They had a few more carbs than the Tamxicos. Guest guest
I get them at Super Wal Mart. The brand is La Banderita, Soft Taco, Low Carb, Low Fat. It says 5 net grams of carbs ( I don't really understand that). You get 8 tortillas, the pack is 12.7 oz. Calories 81 Total Fat 2 grams Total Carbs 11 grams Sugar 0 Protein 5 grams Trans Fat 0 Saturated Fat 1 gram Sodium 275mg Dietary Fiber 6 grams I think they are $1.97 Do you use a better one than this? If so let me know. I personally can only eat about a half of one and I am stuffed, but you need to remember I have never been hungry, so I don't know how many it would take to fill you up. take Care, in CA > > > > I found at the grocery store today low carb tortillas.
