suzanne...i think i would be checking with Forest Pharmaceuticals ...but

perhaps more so, the Broda foundation since they have control of all

shipments out of the US...they might have info.

also..if you have any way to get in touch with Dr. Durrant-peatfield..i think

he's back in business - not in thyroid, but nutritional stuff...he would be a

great advocate to help this situation.

I'm shocked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in France . I have no thyroid any more , and I do not tolerate

ANY synthetic meds , it leads me directly to the ER with heart

fibrillation , even when I'm given betablockers by our fantastic

smart doctors .

My only chance for survival is Armour . I also tolerated Biothroid

well , but could not tolerate generic by time cabs lab , don't know

why . So my only chance to merely STAY ALIVE is Armour .

I once used to order it on the internet . From Biogenesis with Rx ,

they required a Rx for Europe , unlike the rest of the world . Then

came Myrxforless where one could order even to Europe without Rx .

Then Myrxforless closed down . I wanted to go back to Biogenesis .

But NO , they don't ship to Europe any more at all , not even with

Rx . So I went to IAS . But they too didn't ship to Europe any more

at all , not even with Rx !!!!!! I then managed to buy in Belgium in

a regular pharmacie , in Belgium they have Armour , but only about 20

pharmacies all over the country . And you have to go there , or

another person for you , they don't send it . And of course it is

with Rx . This was the last possibility for me to get Armour . It was

also a lot cheaper then buying online ( 20 vs 45 bucks ) that is if

you have someone who happens to do the trip ... ! I thought I had

finally found a more or less decent solution for staying alive , the

more so as I am treated by a belgian -doc now and can get a

Rx .

I just got the info from a belgian patient :

She went to her usual pharmacie to pick up her usual Armour and she

was told that there was no Armour any more because the USA didn't

ship any more , and wouldn't in the futur either !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't believe it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it !!!!!! I

can't belive it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ne, I haven't yet read the replies to your post, but I noted

that you didn't mention Naturethroid, and that's available in many

places for Europeans. Folks here who have been on Armour have noted

that Naturethroid is doing good for them. on this site can

send you the list of places that we know of to order it. Janie

Thank you , Lynda , for trying to help , but we know all that , but

NOONE ships either to France nor to Germany ! You are really lucky

that this company ships to the UK , it allways seems amazing to me

that they really do .... because I tried to order from them and they

said they don't ship to France and my order was deleted . Patients in

Germany tried as well and got the same answer .

Janie , thanks , but ...... you know I'm into this business for quite

a while and I know all the places . I also know of IDIS having

apparently the licence to sell in Europe .... that news came out

maybe two years ago , or was it three ... ? I tried IDIS at that

time ..... NO WAY !!!! I ran against a wall ! They do not even give

you an answer !!! I had them on the phone various times , I

asked : " Do you sell Nature-Throid to France ? " That's a clear

question , isn't it ?!! They are unable to say YES , or NO , or we

sell not to patients but only to pharmacies , or something ! No ,

they tell me they don't talk to me , I have to send my

pharmacist !!!! --- I did !!!! After trying for weeks and weeks ,

poor pharmacist got nuts , he told me " they really don't seem like

they want to sell their stuff " !!!! I contacted them again . They

told me they don't talk to pharmacists , they only deal with

hospitals ....... THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY NUTS !!!!! So if you

hear that Nature-Throid is available in Europe because bla bla

bla .... ( published this ) this is absolutly NOT TRUE !!!!

got that info somewhere , it's not her faute of course . I have a

link to that on my site myself , thought it might help people when I

put that up years ago , but it's really all nonsense . I never heard

from anyone who got something through IDIS . Maybe some did

somewhere , but certainly not in France !!

For Nature-Throid , no I didn't mention , you know one says " Armour "

and really means natural thyroid . When I tried to order from the

other places , after one closed down , I ment of course Nature-

throid . As that is what they sell now . As I allready wrote , they

DON'T SHIP TO EUROPE !!! Some time ago they did , the whole world

without a Rx , except Europe where you needed a Rx . I ordered with a

Rx . But now they don't ship to Europe any more AT ALL !!! No

Armour , no Nature-throid !

Considering it , I have no idea if I would even tolerate Nature-

throid . I never tried it . I tolerated Biothroid , and I tolerate

Armour . But I did not tolerate the generic from time cabs lab .

Though I know many patients who do great on generics . That was very

strange with the generic : I felt more and more accelerated , until

finally I felt like I would die any moment , my heart would explose .

I have only 10% adrenal function left , so I have tremendous

difficulty to tolerate thyroid . I never thought it could be the

med . I thought natural thyroid is natural thyroid ! And I had not

changed my dose .

My doc then wanted to run a thyroid test , and I said it wasn't

necessary , as I had not changed my dose ! But to please my doc , I

did the test . And there was the answer !! My T3 was in the upper

half of the range !!! Usually it was just at the bottom of the

range . It was no wonder that I felt so sick , there was no way my

adrenals could tolerate such a dose of T3 !!!!!! I immediatly

switched back to Armour ( still staying at exactly the same dose I

had allways been on ! ) and slowly the horror disappeared . At the

next test my T3 was back where it was befor . It really sounds as if

there had been a problem with the batch of meds .... I don't know !

But I didn't hear any other patient complain . Maybe it was also me

who just don't tolerate it . I don't know .

I never tried Nature-throid . Don't know if I would tolerate that

one .
