, here is my recipie I usually follow.

1 yogurt, 2 scoops of protein and 8-16 oz of water (pouring in anything over 8

oz slowly. For my protein shake it is 4oz of liquid to each scoop). I usually

add orange juice or crystal light depending on the kind of shake I want. I also

add ice and frozen fruit. I can usually sip on two 16 oz glass out of all of

that over an 45 - hour time or so.

Sometimes I don't use yogurt at all.

I hope this helps some.

Am I to drink the protein shakes in 8 oz or more or less?? LOL I'm

assuming 8 oz, however I HAVE to mix it with something. I'm still

trying to figure out what to mix it with. I bought lots of different

sugar free puddings, jellos and crystal light flavor drink packets

(walmart brand). I also bought some yogurt to add the stuff to.

Lets say I have on container of yogurt do I mix the protein powder in

that or still mix it with water and how much protein powder do I add

to the yogurt? The protein powder is Matrix Vanilla. I'm so

confused, please help. LOL

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I usually just mix mine w/ 8 oz of water & a couple of ice cubes.

Others mix it w/ soy milk, regular milk, crystal light. Be creative &

you'll find a combination you like. :-)

I will have open RNY on Jan. 9th. My dietician says

to mix one packet of no sugar added Carnation Instant

Breakfast with 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk and 8 oz. skim

milk. That is a meal with 20g of protein. Also, you

can mix protein powder (25g of protein) with one

package of fat free, sugar free instant pudding and 2

cups of skim milk for a high protein pudding snack.

She said low fat or fat free cottage cheese is also an

acceptable high protein snack. She suggested Genisoy

Natural Protein Powder, but I got the unsweetened,

unflavored soy protein powder from GNC. Many folks in

my surgeon's support group take a protein powder

called Unjury. I haven't tried it, but they all swear

by it. I guess you can order it from www.unjury.com.

Good luck!
