Tammy -=- I had my surgery 11/22/06 and the incision that still hurts the most is the upper left. I can't lay on my stomach or side yet without creating gas. I've tried exercising on a recumbent bike and that hurts also. The food question I'm not sure of yet, I'm just moving from mashed to pureed type foods. If I have any question of problems, I just move back to broth and mashed potatoes. Call the doc on call and ask! mr KIM on the left, Ventura, CA 11/22/06 LAP-RNY Cedars LA, Dr. Kai Nishi 348/299/
Guest guest
Being four weeks out --- I would call my doctor's office and get seen immediately. It won't hurt you to go in and have yourself checked out! > > i am 4 weeks out of laproscopic rny. every thing has went fine other > then the fact that the inssion by my belly buttun hurts very bad. when > im bending down or go to sit down and stand up ...i thought it would > stop hurting but it is still hurting 4 weeks out. does it ever stop > hurting? > > and also the past 2 days i aint been able to hold no food down. im > keeping water down but not food im going to try jello and broth > tomarrow see how that goes. >
Guest guest
Mashed potatoes and bananna seems to early for you to be eating four weeks out --- your new pouch is still trying to heal and is probably still swelling... you might look at pureed cottage cheese, fatfree/sugar free yogart, 's Healthy request cream of chicken soup etc... > > > > i am 4 weeks out of laproscopic rny. every thing has went fine other > > then the fact that the inssion by my belly buttun hurts very bad. > when > > im bending down or go to sit down and stand up ...i thought it would > > stop hurting but it is still hurting 4 weeks out. does it ever stop > > hurting? > > > > and also the past 2 days i aint been able to hold no food down. im > > keeping water down but not food im going to try jello and broth > > tomarrow see how that goes. > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
I wouldn't think your belly button would still be hurting at a month out. You might want to have a doctor look at it. My belly button one never really bothered me at all. It was the one just to the left of it that gave me issues as that is where they did most of the work w/ the tools. Guest guest
hmm I think I was eating cottage cheese, maybe only a couple spoonfuls, at 11 days out. Bananas and potatoes certainly by four weeks. I would take it easy at four weeks though. I was eating tuna salad (fat free mayo of course) at four or five weeks. I tried some baked chicken too but it was a little dry and felt like a rock (that's not pleasant by the way). CHEW A LOT whatever it is you try. Oh and sliced or melted fat free cheese was good at that time too. Guest guest
The incision by my belly button bothered me for quite a while. 4-6 wks at least. I think it was at the 6 wk post-op appointment that my surgeon pulled out a couple of stiches that should have dissolved but didn't. It got well after that. Suggest you mention it to your surgeon for a good look by the professional.
