Guest guest
Hi Shaunna, I was beginning to wonder if you had gone off of the face of the earth and I think we all struggle with old food habits from time to time. I try to eat as low fat as possible, but after a while I need something that is not necessarily low fat, but try to be really careful with those choices and have done all right. I was told by my dietician to eat as normally as possible and just use common sense. Lin 422-338-250 Lhsh@... American by birth, Saved by the grace of God. HELLO EVERYONE!!!! Important Question. HI EVERYONE!!!!!!!! I have so missed you guys... SO MUCH! I pray everyone is doing great with their weight loss and did great through the holiday with their families. We are on our way to a new year and to so many new opportunities and for some of us some wonderfully new ones since the weight loss. I would first like to apologize that as a Moderator I have not really been on like I need to be, so I am sorry to Robyn and . You have all been such wonderful friends to me and I say thanks for you more often then you all know. It really shows when I do not come here to give and recieve support. I just want to say THANK YOU and thank you and Robyn for being patient with me. Now, I have an important question for those who struggle with this too, which will probably be most of the board. I have been dealing with many things going on in my life from my school work, my children school and homework, my kids activities, my own social life (WHEN i have one lol), etc... I am sure you know where I am going on this, how the heck do you balance it all and take care of yourself? I am having an EXSTREMELY difficult time with this. I have a list of foods I can pick from through each meal on my fridge, I am going to get me a good planner and do my damndest to set a schedule. It is hard to break old habits I tell ya. Any other ideas of how to organize your life and take care of yourself? All is appreciated!! Many of you know me and what I have on my plate since my mother's death, this last 2 months have been my time finally facing that death and the Holidays. With my focus on me mentally, I have had to set aside my physical side. I just have not been focused at all. It's hard when there is so much. Well, I had the best holiday's yet since my mother's death, so thank you for those who inquired about me. I just wanted to focus on my kids this year and that is part of the reason I have not focused on me. I don't regret it and my kids are happier then ever and so am I. Everything is starting to fall into place for me. SO NOW! I need to get back on track. I need all of you here. It's hard when my schooling is done online because this last 2 weeks vacation I got from school, left me wanting to just stay off the computer and focus again on my family. Anyways, I was wondering how everyone is doing and how they plan on going into the new year, I will be reading as many posts as I can today for the last week. I know I have missed much, but I will do my best to stay on track here on out. You guys are busy bodies here LOL!. Glad to see it though. This is a fantastic group. Thank you for your support through out this year and for the year to come. I look forward to sharing so much more with all of you. Guest guest
Thanks Lin, I don't think it's so much of what I am eating, I am doing pretty good... it's making the time to balance taking in exercise, water, vitamins, and handling everything else in my day. I was not used to focusing on myself, so after the surgery, all I did was focus on that, now I am trying to balance everything and it has shown to be very difficult for me, I just need to figure out what works for me. Guest guest
shauna- so good to hear from you again. I figured you were busy with school, kids, life in general. How to balance? That is a good question. This is one of my favorite sayings...I have given up balance and go for juggling. While juggling I just try not to drop any of the balls. Another good analogy is spinnig plates-sometimes one needs a bit more attetion then another but they all need to be attended to. Don't forget any of them especially the " you " plate. YOu have to make time for yourself because a happier healthier you makes a better you and then everyone involved is happier. This may mean hiring a sitter, calling on relatives or friends to help out, saying no to some engagements or appoitments, but you can do it. I am glad this season was filled with happiness and joy for you. That is the best gift you can give your mom. Hope you have a great new year!
