Guest guest
I'm sorry your upset and I do agree we have no place in Iraq, my nephew was there for almost 2 years, and he came home a changed young man. When he went he left 2 babies and a wife. His kids had to get to know him all over, I hope it doesn't effect your son the same way. Most of all that God will protect him fom any harm. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. Sherry > > Hi all, > My son and his family left today to go back to Ft. Bragg..he's a 2LT in the 82nd Airborne and is off to Iraq. I am a mess. I am angry and sad that this fine fine person and father of three is going off to a place that I believe is a made up war. I know this isn't the forum but I am truly upset. I wish he were going to Afghanistan where at least we know what we're fighting for and about...but this...this is for oil. Thanks for letting me vent...no date for surgery but I don't care tonight...if he dies....I die. > Pray for peace, > Carolee > >

Guest guest
I am so sorry Carolee, For what it is worth, I agree with you, although being a military brat, will always support our men and women in uniform. I will be sure to add my prayers to yours for your son's safe return, and again, hope it helps, but consider yourself " hugged " . Guest guest
I have to agree with you. I personally am really tired of the bull that is coming out Washington and I am a conservative or at least I thought I was one and now think I am just a realist. I pray that he comes back home safely. Lin ps. Please pardon my very biased opinions. 422-338-250 Lhsh@... Guest guest
Hi Donna, I have to agree with about the military and really feel sorry for any family that have spouses or children into he military right now because of the war in Iraq that has gone on way too long and has been run so horribly. Guest guest
Carolee I know exactly what you are feeling. My brother is finally returning on the 5th of Januray. Even before his 1 year in Iraq began, he had to spend 6 months away from his family getting special training. Also, several months before he left, they found out his wife was pregnant with faternal twin, then several months later they found out one has insepalitis (not spelt right) but it is where the skull doesn't develop and the baby has virtually not chance of living. I was furision that they were still going to make him go. But go he did, and he got to come home for the birth of the kids, and memorial service for the little girl that died, the boy was perfect and still is. Then he also got an R and R leave of 2 weeks in August. They do get liberal phone calls and emails home so you can be in touch with him a lot. Some units even set up whole web sites and they unit is constantly posting pictures and you will see lot of pictures of you son on their web site. My thoughts and prayers are with you and him and his safe return. hugs

Guest guest
Carolee, MANY THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR SON AND HIS FAMILY FOR ALL OF THE SACRIFICES YOU ALL ARE MAKING! My husband has been in Iraq since March of 2006, and he will not be home until June 2007. I know firsthand what it feels like to send a loved one off to war; it is not an easy road. Please take care and know your son and all the other troops are in my thoughts and prayers. lisamathis
