I'm on the train! I've had cheese for breakfast, chicken breast for lunch, 2

protein drinks and it's only 5pm. I'm having a vegetable/bean salad for dinner

and another protein drink for bedtime snack.

I didn't get in all my walking. But, I got a really neat TREADMILL for

Christmas. My children and grandchildren got it for me - neat huh? As soon as

I can get it set up, I have my cold weather walking machine and no excuse for

not using it.

Your off to a great start.......I did not get to walk today..I had a 4+

hour drive today back from the holiday....Im pooped and I will be back

walking tomorrow........Im with you on the train otherwise........Until

tomorrow..

I started my day off with some sugar free hot chocolate with a scoop of

protein mixed in. Im on my way to work so I will hit the gym afterward..

WOOOHOOOO A TRAIN! Just what I need. I'm in! Sorry, too much coffee this morning

LOL! I ran out of decaf and found caffine coffee I forgot about LOL! I will be

making me a mango and orange juice protein shake in just a bit here. I am going

for a liquid and soft food diet today.

Woohooo Welcome aboard Shauna, and glad to see you, it's been a

while. I did a protein bar for breakfast yesterday, a chicken wrap

for lunch (not very good) and some chicken chunks for dinner.

Followed by desert of one chocolate protein drink :) I did do a bit

of walking during lunch, about 1/2 mile, I was busy running errands,

so not really a workout. Will try better tomorrow.

This morning I am having crabmeat for breakfast (great to be an adult

and eat what you want for breakfast) not sure about the rest of the

day. We shall see.

stress reliever! :-) I just did 1.5 mi on the treadmill & feel great!

It gives you a lot of energy as well!!!

I have drunk more regular coffee the last week than I have had in months and

have to be careful not to drink it too late in the day or I will definitely

not sleep at night.

I have no excuse for not doing it more often. I feel great after I do.

I just need to get my lazy ass out of bed and hop on in the morning. I

can't do it in the evenings. It makes me too wired & I don't sleep. LOL

I hear you there . That is my biggest problem right now. I am not a

real morning person and if I could get my lazy butt out to the bed earlier,

I could get on my exercise bike in the morning because if I wait to late in

the afternoon, I get out of motivation.

Thank you for the push.

I must make the wedding cake and flowers tomorrow. The flowers are needed for

3PM wedding, the cake for the reception on Sat at 2PM, will I get it all done?

I'm going to chew gum so I don't taste the darn cake. I long for Sunday, even

though I have to work at a Gun Club. I will be able to relax and give time to

myself.

I don't think I did too bad today, although I could drink a lot more...20 oz of

water is not enough. But it is more then I normally drink. I usually get in only

1/2 to 1 cup a day (I know start yelling). I'm not thirsty and don't think about

it. I will do better...I must do better! For me and no one else! I think my

wheels are beginning to move a little.

I totally understand the water issue. I struggle to get in 30oz a

day. I work at a desk and if it's not in my hand 24/7, I get working

and forget about it.

That has been my biggest struggle this past month. Perhaps I need to set times

of the day for getting in so much water, that way I am sure of it and then just

keep liquids with me all the time for any extra. I notice that I stay so much

more full if I drink a 16 oz. bottle an hour. Except when I need to eat of

course.

I'm sticking to the protein/exercise train. I had another great day eating:

oatmeal with beneprotein added; hormel turkey chili for lunch; cottage cheese

and fruit for dinner. One protein shake but the day isn't over.

I got the new treadmill put in place this afternoon. I'll read the booklet that

came with it so I will know what all those gadgets are and what they are

supposed to do. It also has a recommended exercise program. My PCP told me on

13 Dec I was good to go for the exercise program. I'm hitting the treadmill

later this evening.

Congrats on the treadmill! :-) I've been better about mine this week.

I've been on it 3 out of the last 4 days. I'm going to try to stick w/

getting on it daily...even if I only do 1 mile.

Sue you are doing great! I did pretty good today too. I have to take in a

protein shake and a little more water and I am good. I was looking at treadmills

on Wal-mart.com last night, I really want one and plan on getting one in the

next couple of months or so. Keep up the great work!

I have been really happy with my Schwinn Recumbant bike and it is fun to

ride and now that I got an MP3 player for Christmas, I have no excuse to

exercise to music now.

Not to bust into a thread but my kids and I discussed how they like

to exercise but can't get into my gym with me (employees only). I've

talked to them and we've concluded that we could all use an

elliptical machine at my house.

Anyone know of a good one that a younger child could use. By that I

mean my 12 year old. He's a bit short for his age too. I'm not sure

he's even 5 feet tall yet.

I'd like to not to go over $600 if possible.

Not sure about that machine Mike, But I am sure he could make it on any one that

a shorter adult would. Try walmart?
