Guest guest
I would save it for the future. You can still go to restraunts later and have healthy choices. Of course that depends on if there is a exp date on your card. If so, perhaps you could give it someone else who can use it or something. I know you need the support. Perhaps you can gently remind them of your goals and how important their support is to you. Best Wishes, Shauna Cassie cassie_lahmann@...> wrote: So I have my surgery scheduled for Jan. 2. So what does my brother and SIL do? They buy me a gift certificate to a restaurant, and yes they know I am having the surgery. Hmmm...can't eat now and can't eat later. What a waste. My SIL works there so it's not like I can regift it. They have never been very good at buying gifts. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
What kind of restaurant is it? You can eat some things at restaurants post-surgery. You could take out a friend with it, too, for a treat. Just an idea. Guest guest
I know EXACTLY what you're going through! Even though my surgery isn't right now (but it should be sometime in January). I have 4 gift certificates, all for restaurants and one for breakfast at a local deli. I keep thinking, when am I going to use these? I either gotta hurry up and use them fast, or give them away...which I hate to do because one is for a restaurant I really like but the others I could care less about. It's crazy, I know!
