Guest guest
I have used Kirkman Colostrum Gold for approx 4 yrs. It makes a HUGE difference in my boy's overall immune health. I think it is a great product. I also started using a transfer factor which has colostrum, beta glucan, and Vit C. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Thanks We have been using it since August. I believe that it has helped boost my son's immune system. His bouts with sesonal allergies and a couple of colds were milder compared to before the colostrum. No side effects at all. the only draw back is the price but we use so little of it that it lasts a long time, longer than what they recommend we keep it, so I take some too. Note: before I bought it, I read a small booklet from my health food store about the wonders of bovine colostrum. It claimed the BC can help cure everything from severe colitis to heavy metal toxicity. It is the latter that intriguied me and since I gave it to my son he has improved in speech, focus, and following direction. The speech part of that was fairly dramatic, as he went back to school soon after he started it and the teachers were all impressed. Guest guest
Hi Mandi-- we are using this particular maimonides colostrum and I think the price is reasonable--120 capsules for 29.99. Ethan takes one per day so the jar lasts a while. I *really* noticed improvements (like improved eye contact, calm behavior, no impulsiveness, no obsessing) with this particular colostrum and have even stopped it twice to see those improvements go away, and restarted it and noticed they were back right away. http://www.maimonidesgroup.org/prod.col.html W > Yep we liked it, tastes good, didn;t get sick whilst on it, too expensive for > us to continue and needed dosh to try some other stuff > HTH > MAndi in UK
Guest guest
Hi -- was this post directed to my post? What I think happens when I stop using the colostrum is that yeast/and or bacteria starts to rise again. Since it has immune properties also, I suppose the issues could be related to that, too. But since for Ethan, the whole eye contact, hyperness, and obsessing usually go along with yeast/behavior, that's what I am guessing it is having the most impact on for him. So I suppose that yes, if I stopped the colostrum again, his yeast/bacteria would rise up and then I'd see the effects of that again. What I am very pleased with is that even though we've found things to help keep yeast/bacteria under control for Ethan is that those things have seemed very " harsh " on his GI tract--the things like the GSE or the OoO. Very effective, but harsh. He'd end up with a very red ring around his anal opening following those treatments. With the colostrum that we are using, this is not a problem. Also, this has given us the " consistency " in behavior that I have been wanting so badly. Ethan's original dx was sensory integration dysfunction. Chelating helped remove those symptoms but we still had the ups and downs from month to month--I think, because of the yeast bacteria cycling. Possibly viral cycling, I suppose too. But the main thing is that he's been on this colostrum for months now and we haven't had that up and down progress. He's just stayed really consistent in his behavior. I didn't see any negative reactions when we started this. It did make him have several bowel movements for a couple of days in a row, but I see that as a positive thing--getting stuff OUT. :-) W > so this stuff reall helps alot of kids i might have to give it a try. has > any one noticed any negative reactions? > does it ony help when they are on it . i mean will he just regress once he is > stopped ? > thank you joey >
