Guest guest
Hi Jackie!!!! Congrats on the 56 lbs!! That is awesome!! There is something on the scope kind of a balloon type thing that will stretch open the stricture. LOL don't quote me but that is generally how it works. Good luck Sweet Pea!!! Hugs!! > > Hey guys, > Went to doctor yesterday and they told me they think I have a stricture. > For the last week and a half I have not kept anything down except > water, juices. Guest guest
Hi Jackie! A post op structure is not uncommon. If you are not vomiting your food then it will work it's way into your pouch and into your intestines. It can be painful and deter you from wanting to eat. I suggest you stick to soft and pureed foods until the issue is resolved. The endoscope will expand the area and help eliminate the stricture. Sometimes they need to repeat the endoscopy. I had one done in my 15th month post op. I never learned to eat solid foods for nine months post op and when I began to eat solid food it was too painful. After my endoscope I was instructed to eat 6 small meals a day to keep the area from tightening up.
