Guest guest Posted October 7, 2002 Report Share Posted October 7, 2002 I started synthroid about three months ago and about 1-1/2 mos. ago changed dosages to 100 mcg. I didn't even show hypothyroidism in blood tests, but endocrinologist felt I should be at high end of normal instead of low end of normal. I would swear that about two weeks ago I started to feel a bit more energetic - I am thinking that it is due to synthroid. I know my nails, hair, and skin are better too. Guest guest Posted October 15, 2002 Report Share Posted October 15, 2002 Hi All, After getting home from our camping trip all last week, I was going to ask about Chiari and the thyroid. Then I come home, and find its being discussed already! Smile! My sister called me, as her daughter has Chiari. During some blood tests, they found that her thyroid was really off. First they thought she had Graves disease, and now the doctors are telling her that it was a virus involving the thyroid. If anyone has experienced problems of this nature, please advise me! Also.
