For those who had a drainage tube used during/after their surgery...

Does anyone know about how long you can expect that incision to drain?

It's only been a week for me and the incision is actually starting to

heal and close on one side. But I was wondering what others

experienced.

I had my drain in for a bit over a week. Dr. took it out at first post-

op appointment.

I was still draining when it was removed 5 days after surgery. I've had pain

over this site since surgery, and I would have been happy to have left it in a

little longer. So hang in there honey.

Thanks for the information. I haven't been having any problems and I

guess I have a little too much thinking time on my hands. I'm so

glad to have this group to turn to for questions/support!

Yes lots of time to think! But the more feedback you get, the better. Hugs,
