Guest guest
about my questioning on amounts of fluid n drinking. saw my surgeon today n out of curosity i asked the nurse the question, she explained to me at my point certainly not. but there are people later on after surgury who can drink there larger amounts of fluids faster n more of it.. she did laugh n say she can t drink that much n she never had surgury..i guess what i am being taught is the steps i am on now.. makes sense to me.. i ll be glad when i can get more in,, yes at this point she said it will or could hurt my tummy.. because after surgury it is held together by staples so sipping is best for my stage.. later i might be able to drink faster.. after i am totally healed.. keep up your good success c ya donna
Guest guest
That makes sense. Yeah early on I couldn't drink squat. I was taking nearly a full hour to finish a tiny little protein shake as a suppliment to real food. Some might consider that horrible. My family and friends were concerned for my happiness at that time of course. But I gotta tell ya I wasn't really " struggling " or at least I didn't think I was. I did complain that the shakes were getting old (tasting horrible after only a few days of nothing but shakes) and that I was looking forward to trying real/different foods again. Most of my throwing up was done at my parent's house where I often have dinner. Gee you think maybe I would wolf down food too fast at a particular place where I'm comfortable doing it? Hmm, maybe! I've learned to eat slower, there in particular. Back to the water craziness. On a lark I decided to fill two 32oz glasses today. No problem drinking it but when I got out of the car I admit to feeling a bit bloated. Turns out I just needed to have a sit in the restroom and do my duty for a few minutes then I felt fine. Yeah " normal " or non-wls surgery folks are freaked out by the water I drink. I have a half dozen or so co-workers that actually buy flavored water and bottles of green tea from me because I sell it cheaper than the machines. Speaking of which I have to send an enforcer over to one of the networking guys to get the 75 cents he owes me. Oh I did find the cherished 1 liter bottles of calorie free fruity beverages at Aldi's yesterday. Unfortuantly all they had was 8 Cranberry flavor. I bought them all. I'm going to call and harrass them to get some Cherry Limaide. Maybe I'll resort going to one of the other two Aldi's in the metro area. Heck maybe I can order a couple cases special. At 59 cents a bottle it's almost as cheap as crystal light. Good luck with all the changes coming up for you Donna. You seem to have a very positive attitude and that's really big with this journey. You're not alone in this. Let me know if you'd like to get together sometime for a drink (of water) out of a gallon jug maybe. HA! Guest guest
Mike - tell me again the name of this flavored water. I stopped by the Aldi's in my town on the way home from work and couldn't find anything with the name Cott or made by them. Guest guest
The HEB Brand was Fruit Refereshers by Cott Beverages. Cott told me they bottle the Aldi's but it's under Aldi's name. That " brand " is called Fit & Active. I'm concerned they might not have the Cherry Limaide but the Cranberry is pretty awesome. Guest guest
Cott's customer service number is M-F 9am-9pm. They will tell you where to find them and under what name. > > > > ============= > > Oh I did find the cherished 1 liter bottles of calorie free fruity > > beverages at Aldi's yesterday. Guest guest
Darn! There's not an Aldi's near me. I guess I'll have to check out Target. I really want that Cherry Limeade. Was that sweetened with nutrasweet or splenda/sucralose? in MI > > > > about my questioning on amounts of fluid n drinking. saw my surgeon > > today n out of curosity i asked the nurse the question, she > explained > > to me at my point certainly not. but there are people later on after > > surgury who can drink there larger amounts of fluids faster n more of > > it.. she did laugh n say she can t drink that much n she never had > > surgury..i guess what i am being taught is the steps i am on now.. > > makes sense to me.. i ll be glad when i can get more in,, yes at this > > point she said it will or could hurt my tummy.. because after surgury > > it is held together by staples so sipping is best for my stage.. > later > > i might be able to drink faster.. after i am totally healed.. keep up > > your good success c ya donna > > >
Guest guest
Well like I said it was able to cope with the morning work out no problem but then the knee was stiff at different times throughout the day. I'm not taking that crap from some lame ass knee. I'm going to add 4-6 minutes on to my treadmill at the start tomorrow and we'll see who is boss. Good night! > > > > > > > > > > I know that Mike works out like a maniac, but do you work out > > every > > > > > day? Guest guest
That's interesting Joan because that does not work. It never has. The address for my personal PC has NEVER had or worked with www in it. The problem was not that www was missing. The problem was the period at the end of the URL (which was supposed to be a period at the end of a sentence) got attached to the URL by the POS system that is Yahoo groups/email and instead of going to http://mastmd.dynalias.net/drive.wmv people where directed to http://mastmd.dynalias.net/drive.wmv. That extra period at the end essentially destroyed the link. Deleting the http:// has nothing to do with it either. http:// only tells your browser that you're trying to use that particular protocol. If you remove it or don't include it the browser will assume you're attempting to use that protocol by default. Basically putting in http:// or leaving it out makes no difference.
