Hello I started chelating my daughter yesterday with ALA only. I am

doing every three hours 3 days on 4 days off. I was wondering if I

started at 8 am Friday morning and I end on Sunday night is that ok, or

should I go till 8 am on Monday. I know that is probabley a stupid

question but just wondering. Also yesterday she had bad diarreah three

times. Could this be from the ALA. I am giving her 2.5 mg every three

hours. She is 22 lbs 23 months old. Also I was kinda looking for

support. I was wanting to hear some stories of people that have used ALA

only with an ASD child that does not have the regressive type ASD. My

daughter showed signs from three weeks old. Does this usually help with

this type ASD?

Thanks for the help!!!!

yes, this is okay. Do start as early as you reasonably can

on Friday morning, and go as late as you resonably can on

Sunday night.

oh, my! Not the LEAST bit stupid. Anything to get to sleep ;)

sure, it could be. You can reduce the dose if this seems

like a problem, or you can put up with it. See if it

continues to correlate with the ALA.

I don't have info that is partiuclarly about ALA only with

non-regressive ASD. However, I hope that you will find the

following useful for support:

oh, and Dana has a child who was diagnosed with classic

Kanner's autism (from birth, not regressive). She used

ALA only and he is much better. I think there are a couple

of items about Dana's child in the LOVE_LETTERS (at the

URL above), or you can read more about him at her website:

good wishes,

>>First, is it typical to encounter

My kids are fully chelated with ALA. The only negative we

experienced, was a tendency toward yeast for about the first 50 rounds.

If I do encounter any

That would be a good thing to try.

My son started tolerating supplements, including B vitamins, at about

round 50.

Try lower dose, and only in the morning. See if that helps.

It has the folinic acid, methyl b-12 and TMG in it. It also

sleep and has

B12 is often referred to as " the energy vitamin " , so it is commonly

that one. But, it can also be the TMG. I don't know what L-serine is.

I think it is common, yes, although it could be something

mild or something more intense. People TEND to get some

" mercury " symptoms during chelation (the " on " days) and/or

the first OFF day.

> If I do encounter any

um, yeah, maybe. If the mercury or the chelation agent

is causing a problem, a lower dosage will help. On the

other hand, if you've got (say) yeast overgrowth or

anything else that " takes on a life of its own " then

lowering the dose may not make much difference.

Sorry if this seems like a complex answer.

(You could also consider using melatonin.)

(I don't know. Mercury will OFTEN OFTEN cause insomnia.)
