Guest guest
Chiari group: I have experienced some occasional, mild but puzzling symptoms beginning two years ago. My wife, who used be office manager for a local neurologist, suggested that the symptoms are beginning to sound similar to cases of chiari malformation they saw in her office. At this point the symptoms are so mild that I'm not planning to have an MRI done, but I am curious whether my symptoms ring any bells with your group. Here they are: 1. A tingling sensation running along my scalp from just above my right eye to the back of my head. Began more than two years ago. It seems to have moved into the back of my head recently. 2. Frequent twitching in my right eye (does not appear to effect my vision). Began this year. 3. Brief, sharp pain in the back of my head brought on my sneezing, coughing, laughing or bending over. Began about a month ago and has occurred perhaps 10 times. Does not result in a headache and lasts only a second or two. 4. Occasional mild dizziness. I play tennis 3-4 times a week and these symptoms have not effected my play. I have no problems with gait. I'm 44 years old, 6-1, 225 pounds. I'm otherwise in excellent health and very active. These symptoms haven't really effected my life, except to cause some concern. I'd simply like know determine the cause. If these symptoms don't sound like chiari malformation, I'll look elsewhere. What do you think? Plothow Idaho Falls, Idaho
