But, I found a way to chat, have you tried Myspace IM its the same as Yahoo. But well I can use it, and its alot of fun. I have a feeling that since most people work, it would have to be done at night or even better on the weekends. The number that I have used with the conferences that I have been own is and then you set up a code and it works pretty well. Here's some thoughts to consider: I only have have cell for personal calls unless I use someone elses which would be awkward to say the least ergo weekends would be IDEAL. My cell is just about to be able to be cycled on a two year renewal. That means it's nearly two years old and the battery has dubious capabilities. How long will it hold a charge? Who knows? I suppose I could always just have it plugged into the charger though so this probably isn't an issue. It might, however, be an issue with some who have land/VOIP phones but use cordless phones exclusively. It's been my experience that charging a cordless phone and talking on it at the same time isn't possible. Cordless phones tend to hold a charge better than a cellular though. But then we don't really know when we're going to hit everyone's phone charge wise do we? Maybe some will only have a small charge. Ok enough of this slop. There's other options like NetMeeting or other online voice meeting rooms. That would work great for laptop users who normally have a mic and speakers built in. Not so much for those with desktops who might not have a mic and would probably want a headset/mic combo (really laptop users would probably prefer that too). This would be totally free for those that might be incurring long distance charges if that's still an issue too. I'm just a uber nerd who works in collaborative applications so I either deal with this stuff directly or have guys on my team that do. Granted we do it for companies but it's not so hard to think that into personal use. Regardless of what we go with the most difficult thing is going to be the human factor of getting a time everyone can meet comfortably. With the craziness of some Europe members and Australian members plus the obvious wide costal representation of the US and everyone working my vote is going to lean towards the weekends and then probably a Saturday night maybe although that can stink too. Maybe a Sunday afternoon, not sure how that would work for the Aussies though. I'm speaking in an Eastern Time Zone (the US Eastern not the AU Eastern) mindset. Regardless I'd make at least a few of these even if I had to take time out for work or leave my kids waiting in the snow to be picked up from a game (ok maybe I wouldn't do that).
