After reading the comments about ice triggering RSD flares, that is surprising to hear (good, but still surprising). I didn't visualize cool water. I visualized warm water. Specifically, the temp of Lake Arrowhead in August at 2pm in the afternoon. I visualized my whole shoulder warmed by the sun with the lake water swishing inside rather than over the top of my shoulder. The most peacful/calm/centered feeling that I can conger is the quite calm right before taking off to ski. When you water ski and are relaxing behind a boat while they are getting ready to take off and pull you up you are in a knee up, shoulders and head back, water supporting your shoulders bobbing half in and half out of the water, position. The warm sun warms your shoulders and warm water lapps over them softly. There is no body weight while bobbing therefore my joints ... well I cant feel my joints and that is glorious! That is where I go before I can empty my thoughts to meditate or start total realization techniques. Since it is a warm thought... I used it and it worked...
