Dental/Orthodontic issues

Can anyone steer me toward some good info to share with dentists and

orthodontists. My two oldest and I already have TMJ so I know to

warn them about that. Tabitah (6) is going to need a 'spreader' soon

because her palate is too high and narrow - Naomi (10) already had it

done (thus the tmj). The dentist is recommending braces for Rebekah

(12) although only one tooth is out of line - hers are straighter

than mine. Hannah (8) has teeth that are too large for her mouth -

she has already had 4 baby teeth pulled to make room for the adult

teeth and will have to have permanent teeth removed. The first set

of teeth removed was no problem, but the second set hurt - obviously

the novacaine didn't work well.

Soooo, I really need some 'professional' papers to pass on to the

doctors - I think they will both be very cooperative, but they need

to be educated. Also, you just never know, I was speaking to a

peridontist friend of mine about what the future might hold (my mom

and brother have a lot of peridontal issues and I'm starting to get a

receeding gum line despite doing all the 'right' things') Anyway,

even though she is my friend and knows all about my problems she

can't get out of her groove and think that perhaps we are different -

and don't fit into the one size fits all health care. Seems there is

lots of educating to be done out there.

Thanks for any info you can help me with.

PS I already have ordered the CD from EDNF and looked at a dental

report from the Canadian Dental Assoc.
