Guest guest
I've heard it's because they can't convert something in their bodies so they build Vit A up in their systems. Guest guest
Hi there i dont have an answer for this, but i would like to share that my daughter also has this problem. She is orange all over, but her palms and bottoms of feet are the worst. She eats some yellow and orange vegetables but not a lot. I had her liver checked and it came back fine, so i know it is not that. I also heard that it is a conversion problem in the body. I would appreciate some feedback on this as well. Thanks Rochelle >From: " jromkema " <jromkema@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: [ ] orange palms >Date: Sun, 24 Oct 2004 09:58:03 -0500 > >I've heard it's because they can't convert something in their bodies so >they >build Vit A up in their systems. Guest guest
hi paula my daughter is orange just like your son. She has it all over her body, but worst on the palms of hand and bottoms of feet. Her armpits are also orange. I had my daughter's thyroid levels checked and they came back normal. I even tried taking her off of orange foods for a month and she still stayed orange as a pumpkin. I really wish i could figure this one out. rochelle >From: " panderson14me " <KANDERSON13@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Re: orange palms >Date: Sun, 24 Oct 2004 16:11:57 -0000 > > >That's kind of where I thought the vit A came in. Guest guest
Hi Rochelle. I have read that " normal testing " for thyroid funtion is not totally reliable. Now, what testing that is, I don't know, T3 and T4 levels, maybe. And that a trial of meds is the best indication as to whether it is needed. My son has little bile output, not sure if liver function is related or not. I am trying to support his liver/liver funtion with milk thistle and phosphatidyl choline. It's good to see that avoiding these foods didn't do any good, I mean, I'm glad it's not some other food that we have to remove! Ugh. Thank you a > hi paula my daughter is orange just like your son. Guest guest
hi paula i think i head that also about the thyroid testing. I had the T3, T4, and TSH done on cayla. She just recently had the liver panel done and it was normal also. I have heard that mercury can cause this. I have heard from a couple of parents that after chelating the orange skin went away. rochelle >From: " panderson14me " <KANDERSON13@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Re: orange palms >Date: Sun, 24 Oct 2004 16:32:33 -0000 > > >Hi Rochelle. Any info? This can be lutein/carotene intolerance. My son had this problem. The body needs zinc, vitamin C, and thyroid hormone to convert carotene into vitamin A. Even after full chelation, and adding zinc and vitamin C, my son still will not convert carotenes into vitamin A, so I have added iodine, altho not sure it is doing anything or not. Try removing all luteins and carotenes [basically, anything orange and green, can also include yellow and red]. My son was lutein/carotene free for about 18 months, until chelation removed that problem. Basically, it would NOT mean he is too high in vitamin A, it probably means he is not converting it. Guest guest
I distinctly remember that when No-Fenol enzymes (Houstons) came out, several parents reported that their child's 'orange palms' went away and returned to a typical color. .
