foul smelling urine

My six year old son has had very foul smelling urine for three days now. I

can't even describe

the smell but it is very strong (maybe ammonia smell). I think I also smell it

on his body

when he wakes up in the morning. The only things that have changed with my son

in the

past few weeks is a positive strep culture and HBOT. We are fourteen days into

our antibiotic

(penicillin) and seven days into HBOT. We also started Carnitine a few days

ago. I have a call

into my DAN doc but have not heard back and probably won't until Monday. Has

anyone

experienced foul smelling urine? Could it be detox? My son has had several

behavioral

changes since getting strep. He is less social, disconnected, aggressive,

emotional and

developed a verbal humming stim. I assumed that these are due to the strep and

will

hopefully pass. I have been reading about PANDAS but don't want to think about

it until I

meet with my DAN as it might make me cry. I am concerned about his smelly

urine.

Any suggestions?

Dayna

Can it be called " fishy " ?

I eliminated strep with OLE.

Yeast overgrowth can cause foul urine. Antibiotics generally increase

yeast. Try increasing the yeast protocol.

A too-high dose of carnitine will tend to make the body smell " fishy " .

Lower the dose and see if that helps.
