I'am still using that prescription form of nasal spray that has a Corticosteriod ingredient in the spray. I did started that Advair (Asthma inhaler) but it was making my sinuses and nose cloged up. I told this to the Pulmonary doc at the Ann Arbor V.A. when I went down there back in mid December. They said stop taking this Advair for now. I may have been not getting enough air to breath at times and this is may why I'am having pain around my heart. My logic is that my heart is stressed out sometimes and has pump faster because of taking in less air. I go back down to Ann Arbor V.A. Hospital for the full lung function testing in March.

,

I'm concerned about your feeling some pain around your heart--and not being able to get in to see someone until March--at least for the breathing tests.

I hope you'll decide to get in and talk with the MD's about the heart pain. You shouldn't be having a problem with that-- and if it's happening because you aren't getting enough air-- then they need to move that appt up, and figure out why--and get you breathing better. See if you can do both the breathing test (PFT) and an exercise tolerance test at the same time. That way if you're having exercise or stress induced chest pain and shortness of breath, they can get you dealing with that.

As for the "bowlers"-- knocking down the walls of people that push our buttons is something we'd all like to do from time to time--so sit back, take a deep breath, and picture their face on the pin. Mentally see yourself approaching the lane, ball in hand, and focusing directly on that pin--roll that strike! It's good--and worth the laugh.
