Guest guest
Hi , I know how you feel. I was hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst when Zoe got her FAB. She did get a blister on her nonclubfoot on the third day, but it was fairly small and healed quickly, other than that, she did/does really well with it! Let us know how it goes. Can you send pictures of those shoes. Can you ask them to order Markell Shoes? Louisa 6-27-99 Zoe 2-22-04 RCF > > Hi there, > > > > is almost ready to go into his shoes. Guest guest
Hello . You should not get s shoes until he is out of the casts. The shoes come in many sizes, how do you know you have the right size? After the casts come off take him with you to get fitted in the shoes. I hope they are returnable just in case. What size are the shoes you have? My daughters 1st shoe was size 000 which did not have a strap either. When we moved up to 00 they had a strap. I wonder if it was because they were so small. I'm not sure on that. Please find out if the shoes are exchangable, you may need to. Nothing is worse then shoes that don't fit right which you will learn when reading this site. Good luck and let us know the outcome. Shook Retail Operations Manager/Baking Instructor Vie de France Yamazaki, Inc. 2070 Chain Bridge Rd. Guest guest
I disagree with this. If you don't order the shoes before going into the last cast then they might not be there when you need them. There should be no gap between the last cast and the DBB wear. I don't think the little feet will grow that much in 3 weeks anyway... By the way, my son's first shoes were a size 000 as well and they were rather big for him (they didn't do anything smaller at that time). They did have a strap though, maybe the design has changed meanwhile. Guest guest
, he's 2mo's old? A 9 " bar seems like it might too long, but maybe he's just a big guy. Darbi was big, but she started out with a 6 " bar IIRC and stayed in it for a long time. (ok, might have been an 8 " , now I gotta go check cuz my mama brain forgot!) There's an easy way to know though. Have you put the shoes on and compared it to his shoulders? Just put it up and see how it fits. Put the shoes on at 70 degrees first though and then put the heels right up to his shoulders in the back and check. Are these shoes open toe? I think the strap holds the heel down better than just the laces themselves, which is why they're made that way now. I would be concerned that you will have a hard time getting them tight enough. Can you send a pic to the CFPics list of these shoes? I'm just curious. I think if it were me, that I'd call the brace shop and tell them that there's been shoes out for this method for years that have straps and buckles and even a new improved design out that are designed not to not need plastizode inserts since last October. And what are they doing giving you old stock shoes without buckles for anyway? Sounds like they found a good way to get rid of something sitting on the shelf. How much did you pay for these shoes?
