I have only been diagnosed about a year and a half now but both my parents had it so I have more than 30 years knowledge behind me. >> Tina, So do I but it is more than 30 years for me. It is more like 50 years or more for me. My husband has diabetes too. It is that I have so much already that I sometimes feel that I can;t handle anymore. There is tinnitus, polyarthritis, diabetes, connected tissues disorder and neurophy in my legs. So I feel a little bit like that Charlie Brown cartoon. He is laying in bed and he says " why me, Lord " and the answer is " Oh, I don't know, your name just came up " Well, I wish they would give the computer another whirl like at jury duty and see if my name won't come up again.
