Because in a past life you were a horrible evil and selfish man who never paid

any attention to his children, ignored his wife, and spent weekends with the

boys drinking beer and shooting large animals, having a great time.

You have been reincarnated to pay for all those mistakes.

At least, that's what I feel like most of the time.

Thanks to all for your responses. Please keep in mind I was venting to the

site and not taking my frustrations out on DH. As for the grocery thing, more

of my frustration was coming from it taking him just shy of 3 hours to do it and

him calling me constantly to see what kind of something we needed, like butter.

May seem simple, but when you are already frustrated it doesn't take much to

encourage it. Plus my real kicker right now was DH, on the phone with a friend

telling him sacarcastically, " Yeah, she has it real rough, laying around and

being waited on. " I don't think he completely understands how difficult this is

for me or can completely rationalize it. He is in a complete pity party stage

and believes he needs mucho credit and pats on the back when he does the

simplest thing. I am going to stop here before I get started again.

Mikell, My bedrest is similiar to yours. I am allowed to go to the bathroom,

get something to eat/drink, and bathe. No steps (Which is difficult considering

I live in a 5 story house). So I am planted on the main living level, where I

have access to everything with minimal walking. I am currently at the stage

that my body is starting to hurt and ache. My hips are killing me, laying on

your left side makes this difficult, and I am getting muscle spasms in my legs.

No position is comfortable. I do notice this is mostly after taking the

medication for contractions....Not sure if it is related but will talk to the

Peri about it tomorrow.

Keeping busy has been diffiult and my sleep habits are all messed up. Of

course, I have done books, crosswords, word finds, and TV. Prolly the most

productive thing I have done is starting the baby's scrapbook. Scrapbooking is

a little time consuming, so it kept me occupied for a little while. Once I get

some more supplies I will get the pages set up, so they will be ready for new

pics since I doubt I will have a lot of time to work on it after he is here.

I know this is an adjustment for us all and everyone copes in their own way. I

don't think it is helping that I think my nesting phase is kicking in and I feel

completely helpless and unprepared. I keep hearing from DH, " I will, I Promise "

and the vast majority of things I am still waiting on.

Hope all is well,

Your DH is indeed in the resentful phase with his

sarcastic comments to friends and NEEDS A HUGE KICK IN

THE ASS. You want me to call him and give him a

little reality check? ;o) My DH is a very strong,

difficult to mold person- perhaps I can work your DH

over a bit, or at least send him a 'Sicilian message.'

It is truly disgusting phase (resentful/pity party)

when they are in it- just take heart knowing you are

IN THE RIGHT- the phase will pass if you manage him

correctly.

Im so sorry you are in so much pain, I went thru alot

of that as all my muscles deteriorated. It does get

better after they completely deterioriate. Also, i

switched sides from left to right alot- no one can

expect to stay on the left side the whole time, youll

go crazy and screw up your neck, rib cage, hip and

knee (on one side). Have you had your DH buy you

about 10 king size pillows with king size flannel

covers? I recommend. Brace your body on both sides

and put 2 pillows (1 between thighs, 1 between knees/

calves)

YOU ARE ALMOST 32 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Youre almost

there!! Hang on!!!! Try to be so thankful that youve

made it to this critical point- you will be TERM in

just 5 weeks!!!!!! You can make it!!

Best

Hi Helen,

My multivitamin [solaray's Spectro Multi-Vita-Min] has 300 mcg of biotin

included in its daily dose. I can't find any of the other things you mention [do

alpha lipoic acid and momordica have alternate names?]

I've also been using a super-food called Pure Synergy every day, but I can't

find any specifics regarding contents beyond broad categories. I am

considering stopping it anyway, as it's expensive and I'm not convinced that it

makes

me feel better.

As you can tell, I haven't gotten much past lowering the carb count of my

meals and testing-testing-testing, so it's probably time to start looking at my

supplement situation. Any advice will be appreciated.

Nan, I don't know much about supplements. I have heard about cinnamon and

but the others I am not very familiar with, especially momordica. How much

of these others is one supposed to take for optimum results? Also, can you

point me to some research that they actually make a difference?

Finally, if anyone has found a supplement I can take rather than exercise,

PLEASE let me know immediately! LOL!

Hi ,

Not being able to incorporate exercise into my program, I gave up the white

stuff, potatoes, rice pasta, etc. Ice cream is my cheat food, but I'm getting

better at passing it by. :-)

Hi , I see you take Provigil? Is it for the PPS? Does it help?

it you who mentioned depression? Have you had your thyroid levels checked

lately? Sometimes, being slightly hypothyroid (TSH at high end of normal), can
