Guest guest
Spinal tumors? Could you expand a bit on this? What do they feel like? How were you diagnosed with them? Donna... I have what is called Arnold Chiari Malformation. That is my primary Diagnosis. I contracted fibro after they removed the bottom half of the back portion of my skull. My brain grew down over my spinal cord, stopping up all of the spinal fluid. This caused tumors (not cancerous) inside of the spinal cord. Eventually I will have to go for another surgery, where they will remove the entire back portion of my skull and fit me with a titanium plate. How does it feel...well...pick a 4 letter word. Any one will do. I get massive back pain. It goes from the top of my head to the end of my tailbone. I was diagnosed with this by...are you all ready for this...A colon rectal doc. I had pain in my abdomen. He could not cure it, nor could he find anything. So, he did an MRI. Here it was the spinal or syrinx tumors radiating into my abdomen. From there they did an MRI of the brain and found the Arnold Chiari Malformation, as the syrinx tumors usually are found hand in hand with the malformation. He then told me that my problems were at " the wrong end " for him. So, he sent me to a neurosurgeon, and I have been on the medical ride of my life since! Missy With the brain that is too big!
