Guest guest
As I've mentioned, I started composing again, by reworking the performance draft of my Requiem. I had all the music entered on computer, but NONE of the words, and I've been unable to find the original handwritten version. This was probably to my benefit -- I reworked the music without prejudice, and the words are standard Latin anyway...except for the Communion section, which was about a third of the first performance Requiem and completely original in text. I reached the end about an hour ago, and had come to the point I really needed the words so I can rework the remaining section. I've tried everything to get to the original text on computer without success -- 800K floppies, which Macs no longer read, and I've searched and found everything ELSE I've ever written...so I asked the universe one last time. And started looking, and within a minute came on the original. At the point I really needed, instead of earlier when it might have been an obstacle... Wow. Thanks.
