Guest guest
He used his drimmel tool then an ex-act knife to cut a rectangular hole in the heel. It is half an inch in width and a quarter of an inch high. It looks great! > > I am sorry to post again; I have so many questions and I have > gotten > > such wonderful feedback from all of you!! > > > > I read on this board that if a foot is not fully corrected then > the > > shoes do not work. Guest guest
Have you or anyone gone to see Ponseti from another state? If so, how did you go about doing so? Which airport, how did you make the appointment...?? I have email him and his secretary responded saying we could come see Dr Ponseti for further treatment. I would like any feedback from others who did this. It will be VERY expensive (2K each round trip flight), but may be worth it. > > I am sorry to post again; I have so many questions and I have > gotten > > such wonderful feedback from all of you!! > > > > I read on this board that if a foot is not fully corrected then the > > shoes do not work. Guest guest
Cari, Many people on this board have traveled from out of state and out of country to Iowa City to see Dr. Ponseti. What region do you live in? There are organizations such as Angel Flights where volunteer pilots fly children and their parents for medical treatment for free. Some of the families on this board have used their services. There is a lot of info in the links section, Dr. Ponseti's secretary Joyce might be able to help you with travel information also. Have you looked into seeking out experienced Ponseti doctors who are closer to you? There are a handful of doctors that come highly recommended who have a lot of experience in treating older children just like the doctors in Iowa City. > > > I am sorry to post again; I have so many questions and I have > > gotten > > > such wonderful feedback from all of you!! > > > > > > I read on this board that if a foot is not fully corrected then > the > > > shoes do not work.
