Guest guest
When I started being treated with narcotics,,, first the duragesic patch and then oxycontin and also started with presurgery treatment for my neck (the wearing of the soft collar 24/7), my TMJ pain TOTALLY disappeared!! I was getting lots of soft tissue work done for that and for my headaches and neck pain. Don't ask me how to explain it all but it is true. ------------- It makes perfect sense. Your TMJ wasn't CAUSED by something wrong in your mouth. It was a SYMPTOM of some other problem located elsewhere. This is typical with many TMJ cases. I know of cases where TMJ was caused by a fall on the tailbone. The tailbone got jammed and the misalignment transferred all the way up and ended up manifesting as TMJ pain. Very common. And in many respects this is the beauty and power of some of the alternative modalities. They don't just focus on the symptom - they focus on finding and fixing the CAUSE. This is particularly true of some of the energetic modalities that start by doing an energetic assessment to look for blockages.
