Guest guest
I am also on the EDSers board but haven't checked in on it for the last 2-3 weeks. I was checking it tonight and saw a post about slow healing of the incision post surgery. I am just copying my response to it down below. ---------------- My apologies for my delayed response on this - it has been a couple of weeks since I last checked in on this board. My answer isn't going to do you much good since you have already had the surgery, but it might come in handy if you ever need other surgeries in the future. Under no circumstances would I ever personally go through any scheduled surgery or allow any member of my family to go through scheduled surgery without first getting a good lymphatic drainage treatment of the incision area not more than about three days before the surgery. And as soon as it was safe to do so post surgery, I would have a follow up lymphatic drainage treatment. I would either do the work myself or have it done by another qualified practitioner. The pre-surgery session helps drain and flush any toxins and wastes out of the area. It makes a dramatic difference in the ability of the surgeon to get a clean incision. There is far less tissue damage from the incision. Risk of infection is also greatly reduced. Post surgery work further reduces the risk of getting an infection as well as helps speed the healing and knitting of the incision.
