Guest guest
You asked for opinions! I'm a 48 yr old male who stupidly let my alternative doctor give me a single EDTA IV challenge for Mercury. Had I investigated (read Andy Cutlers book!) I would have known that EDTA moves mercury around better than it removes it. I suffered numerous problems from this one IV. Approximately 5 hours after the IV, I lost touch with time and reality- this only lasted about 1hour and was replaced by the terror of knowing I had to go to work at some time- but not knowing when. Luckily for me I had two days off, in which time I recovered to the point of being able to report for work. With further diminished skills I'm lucky to still have the job! Additional problems which continued were memory loss (severe) and a burning skull (inside) headache which diminished over 3-4 weeks with ibuprofen! EDTA IV? - DON'T DO IT IF MERCURY IS PRESENT. What your doctor doesn't know can kill you. There is no rush - Learn, Learn, Learn, This is my opinion! Rick > we saw our dan doctor today. he wants us to do edta iv pushes on our 4 yr old > once a week for 4 weeks and then gradually go down from that. he is > concerned about lead with my son. he is mercury toxic and the lead is WAY, WAY out > of range. something like three times worse than the mercury. you can see on > his elemental hair test from great smokies that it is higher than all others by > far. can i ask anyone who wants to share their opinion about it? i recall > someone telling me once that it was dangerous? i asked the doctor and he > assured me he has never seen anyu adverse effects of edta. i need to make a > decision but would like some background support. everyones opinion pro or con is > welcome. > kelly > > >
Guest guest
, Mercury is notorious for " hiding " in the brain, etc. and not showing up in tests! This is the reason for the " counting rules " to determine mercurys presence. You said Mercury is " low " - That means it is present! I beleive the correct procedure is to properly chelate mercury till it is gone. Then retest and address remaining metals - Please refer to Andy Cutlers book! DMSA chelates both mercury and lead as I understand it. Get the book, read it, and ask questions on this fourm. Good luck, rick > thank you rick VERY much for your opinion. jordan does not have mercury > outside of range. the doctor told me he wanted to do edta because the lead was > sooooooo severly high. and believe me, there will be no rush. if i would have > taken the time to learn about vaccines before i let someone shoot my kid up i > wouldnt be in part of this predicament in the first place. he was completely > NT until 20 minutes after his mmr. he has never been the same since, although > he is making incredible strides. does anyone know if edta is fda approved to > treat lead poisoning specifically in children? i know it is fda approved but > the " in children " part makes a big difference. my gut tells me as of right > now dmsa needs to stay but my mind is always open to learning about > everything. i never know when i might be able to answer something for someone else. > again thanks. > kelly > > >
Guest guest
, Do you mind me asking who your DAN doctor is that is wanting to do IV EDTA?? I live in Phoenix Arizona and our DAN! doctor has starting iv edta on ASD kids. I'm wondering if the 2 couldn't collaborate and bounce off each other what they are seeing. She has only been doing it less than 6 months I would say. Do you know how long your DAN Doc has been doing this? I have been searching for another Doc out there who has been using IV EDTA and what results they are seeing. At the same time, it was very good to read what Rick had to say about his experience with EDTA. Any info appreciated Becky in Phoenix
