Guest guest
Oh my god Kori, I'm so sorry to hear your going through this. I too would really like to have help on all the needed info for a Beginners manual of sorts for moms, and for other Dr. that think this is a crock!!! Look at all those beautiful baby feet!!! There all Diff. some small, some long some pudgy:) But ALL just Beautiful!! And there feet have come such a long way without getting cut up and having to face other pains and problems in the future. Sure they go into relapse, but that dose not mean you give up, it means you have to step back and follow steps that have been done already one more time. But, if the Dr. is not concerned or has given up due to complaints from moms about what there going through and not following the procedures, then he should be screaming for help from others to help the moms that are having problems NOT GIVE UP! Look at all the moms that have had to start from scratch because the Dr. they were seeing did not correct the problem, or made things worse! I hope you can get him to set his sights back on what Dr. Ponseti has taught him, and ask if it's because he is out numbered by patients moms giving up on the method, that he has just thrown his hands up and said the heck with it? Sorry, I must be getting my monthly or something...heheh Does this make any sense? Also, PLEASE I really need help organizing any form of information booklet to start helping on our Island baby's and getting more Dr. to practice this method. If you look on the website we only have one. Also..I don't have a clue on how something like that is put together!!! Sorry so long.... If anyone would help, please if you want to contact me direct it is fine:) cfhawaii50@... of cfhawaii50@... Thank you so much Carole mom to Kristopher born 6-11-02 bilateral cf treated from 7 days old, recasted 5-04 now in dbb/fab 12 to 14hrs also has AFO's but for help in keeping his frt toes from curling. not for treatment of clubfoot correction. Kris has a bad habit of curling his frt toes inward and this causes him to twist the feet upward and inward. because he does it so often we are trying to see if the HABIT will break by wearing the AFO's just when he is out and about running to the store with me or stuff like that. Otherwise we let him run without anything:) I was a little scared when I was told to be fitted for these AFO's but I talked to Dr. and we agree that it's worth a try to break a habit, not for correction, because he too feels they are not able to correct a darn thing. But as for him being strapped in and not able to curl the toes, so far it has helped:) BY NO MEANS are we in these to change any of the methods we are on. I would be a tiger in a cornered cage if anyone were to take away any of the proper steps Dr. P. has set forth:) oh here i go again!!! sorry:) Bye Carole
