I saw this and had to reply.

check your childs iron levels, there is a condition called Pica

I'm searching for a reason as to why my 5-year-old ASD is always

putting small object (mostly rocks, wood and dirt) in his mouth.

He stopped doing in for almost two years but began again this spring

and it is driving us nuts.

Just wondering if there is a connection to any metals or whether any

of you had the same problem with your kids.

For many kids, this is zinc deficiency.

For my #3, this happened when he ate foods or supplements he did not

tolerate, or when he had a yeast problem.
