Guest guest
Dorothy, I'm sorry, I know I am butting in here, but we have an 11 year old that has ODD and I understand JUST how you feel. My mom always says that Karl could make the pope cuss! We have had him since he was five and he has been adopted for four years. You are right, spitting is the worst. I don't know how they know wich buttons to push, but boy do they! Our son has always told us that he can treat us this way because he is adopted and so he doesn't have to leave no matter how he acts. Boy since our Justen has been placed in a group home temporarily, little Karl has had a change in attitude. I was wondering, I noticed that your son is on meds for the ADHD. Our Dr's have told us that there really are no meds to help with ODD, only therapy and meds to treat some of the behaviors. Is that what yours have said? Because man, if there weren't four adults in our house so that I can always take a time out if needed, I don't know if I could do this like you do. Again, sorry for butting in, I just don't come across many people with kids like Karl. a C The ODD part is a very hard part for me to handle because of the violent outbursts and such that goes along with the disorder. I am afraid that one of these days I am going to loose my temper with him and get my self into trouble. Will let you go from the soap opera and sure do hope again that you are feeling better soon. Take care Dorothy
