I have palpitations and tachycardia.

----------------------------

As info, there is a specific release pattern in Polarity Therapy

called the Cardiac Regulator that is used for irregular heart rates

because it affects the heart's rate and rhythm. I have not used it

personally, other than learning how in class, but my instructor

has. She has gotten very good results with clients with

palpitations. She has not specifically used it for tachycardia but

feels it should work for that as well since the release basically

helps adjust the heart rhythm back to normal.

There are three specific points that are held and a " line " over the

top of the head that is massaged and held. The three points are on

the sternum, between the ribs, and under the diaphragm.

Find your collar bone. The first rib is beneath the collar bone.

Start with it as " one " and count down to the fourth and fifth

ribs. The sternum point is in the middle of the sternum, at a

level between the 4th and 5th ribs. The rib point is between the

4th and 5th ribs on the left, right over the heart (about a thumb's

width away from the edge of the sternum). The diaphragm point is

just to the left of the of the bottom of the sternum, up under the

ribs on the left side.

The " line " on the head is a bit more difficult to describe because

there aren't any bony landmarks associated with it. Start with a

point at the base of the skull, right at the bottom of the ear

lobe. Visualize a line back to the base of the skull, parallel to

the floor. Then visualize a line straight to the top of the head

from the bottom of the ear. With this 90 degree angle in mind, cut

it in half. The Cardiac Stability Line runs from the bottom of the

one ear, up and over on that 45 degree line to the bottom of the

opposite ear.

The release pattern has three steps.

Step 1: With the thumb of your right hand, gently contact the

sternum point. With the index finger of your left hand, gently

massage the entire Cardiac Stability Line from one ear to the

other. After massaging the entire line, rest your whole left hand

on the line and hold for a " balance. "

Step 2: Move your right thumb to the rib point and put your left

palm and finger tips along the Cardiac Stability Line, first on one

side of the head and then on the other. Hold for a balance on each

side.

Step 3: Put your right thumb on the diaphragm point and push up and

under the rib cage. Leave your left hand gently on the cardiac

stability line and hold for a balance, first one side and then the

other.

When I say " hold for a balance " I am referring to an energetic

balance so the sensations feel the same between your two hands. The

sensations are subtle but might feel like pulses or waves. They

will feel different from the blood pulse or breathing. You also need

to do it with a grounded, relaxed frame of mind.
